Insect spraying round the Jelsa Municipality, including Sveta Nedjelja, is scheduled for July 22nd from 22:30 to 04:00 (Tuesday night to Wednesday morning.

Remember the warnings! Despite the false assurances of the implementing company that the substance used is harmless to warm-blooded creatures, this is far from the truth: every year dangerous insecticides are used, usually pyrethroids, which can be fatal to cats, highly toxic to dogs, also very harmful to humans, and of course devastating for bees, other pollinators and the insects which birds feed on.

The company recommends that people, especially those with breathing problems, should close all windows, doors and shutters, and beekeepers should close their hives.
