Avoid walking in the woodlands, wilds and fields on Sundays and Wednesdays, also some Saturdays (see below).

Officially the hunts last from 07:00 to 14:00 on hunting days.

The hunting programme for the season was decided at the Hvar Hunting Association's Committee Meeting, held on 29th August 2023 as follows:

1. Quail hunting season: 21.08.2023 to 30.11.2023. - 10 birds per hunting day

2. Wild boar hunting season: 24.09.2023 to 28.01.2024. During the rabbit hunting season (15.10.2023 to 14.01.2024), this takes place on Saturdays, otherwise on Sundays.

3. Rabbit & pheasant hunting season: 15.10.2023 to 14.01.2024. Hunting days: 15, 22, 29th October 2023; 5, 12, 19, 22, 26, 29th November 2023; 3, 6, 10, 13, 17, 20, 24, 27, 31st December 2023; 3, 7, 10, 14th January 2024.

4. Hunting season for snipe / pigeons, from 1st November 2023 - 3 birds per hunting day. Pigeons until 31st January 2024, snipe to 28th February 2024.

5. Hunting season for deer opened on April 16th 2023 -30th September 2023; - roe deer hunting from 1st September 2023 - 31st January 2024.

6. Hunting season for fallow deer from 16th September 2023 - 15th February 2024.

7. The hunting day lasts from 07:00 until 14:00 and starts and finishes at the same place.
