A local man, he contributed much as deputy parish priest in Jelsa over many years, serving with exemplary loyalty and dependability as Don Stanko's 'right hand man'. His sermons were always clear and succinct. Off-duty he was good company, always equable and good-humoured, also a fount of knowledge about sport, whether local or international. He will be sorely missed.
